Privacy

This page describes what personal data is processed when you use meetis.live. In short: Meetis has no accounts, comments, newsletter, contact form, analytics or advertising trackers, and it does not ask for or collect information about your health.

Who is responsible

Meetis is an independent, privately run publication. For privacy questions or requests, write to the editorial contact address, which will be published on this page as soon as it is confirmed.

What is processed when you visit

  • Server logs. Like almost every website, the web server records each request: IP address, date and time, the page or file requested, the referring page if your browser sends it, and your browser’s user-agent string. Logs are used to keep the site running, investigate errors and detect abuse. They are rotated weekly and deleted after about eight weeks.
  • Security. Repeated failed attempts to sign in to the site’s administration area can lead to the originating IP address being blocked temporarily.
  • Search. If you use the site search, the words you type are sent to the server as part of the page address and so appear in the server logs. They are not linked to a profile.

Cookies

Meetis does not set cookies for readers. Cookies are used only for editors who sign in to the administration area. There are no analytics, advertising or social media cookies, which is why you do not see a cookie banner.

Third parties

  • Fonts, images, styles and scripts are served from the Meetis server itself; pages do not load resources from other companies’ servers.
  • The site runs on a rented server, and the hosting provider necessarily handles network traffic to it.
  • Guides link to external websites (for example, sources). When you follow a link, the other site’s own privacy policy applies. Sponsored links, when present, are labelled.
  • Meetis does not sell or share personal data for advertising.

Email

If you write to us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message, and use them only to deal with your enquiry. Please do not send health information about yourself.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for access to personal data held about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or to object to its processing, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Because the site does not link log entries to a person’s identity, we may need additional information — such as the IP address and time of a visit — to find any data relating to you.

Changes

If Meetis adds a feature that processes personal data — for example a newsletter, analytics or an advertising network — this page will be updated before the feature is switched on. The date of the last change is shown below.
