Advertising Policy

Meetis may carry advertising to cover its costs. This policy explains how advertising is kept separate from editorial content.

Labelling

Every paid placement is marked Sponsored or Advertisement and names the advertiser. Placements sit in their own framed blocks and are never placed inside the list of sources of a guide.

Editorial independence

  • Advertisers do not choose, review, edit or approve editorial content.
  • Buying advertising does not buy coverage, a mention or a link in a guide.
  • An advertisement is not a recommendation from Meetis Editorial, and it is not medical advice.

What we do not accept

We do not accept advertising that promises to cure, treat or prevent disease without proper authorisation; promotes “miracle” products, detox regimes or rapid weight loss; discourages people from seeking or continuing medical care; imitates editorial content without a clear label; or is unlawful in the places it is shown. We may decline or remove any advertisement.

Links

Links in paid placements carry the attribute rel="sponsored". Links in the Sources list of a guide are editorial and are never paid for.

Tracking

At present Meetis sells placements directly and does not use advertising networks, tracking pixels or advertising cookies. If that changes, this page and the Privacy page will be updated first.

Questions

To advertise, see Advertise. To raise a concern about an advertisement, write to the editorial contact address, which will be published on this page as soon as it is confirmed.
